Questions and Answers on Priestly Celibacy

The students of the Major Seminary at the Institute of Philosophy and Theology of the Archdiocese of Olinda and Recife (Brazil) are taught a systematic course on priestly celibacy. As part of the training, seminarians are encouraged to contribute their own thoughts, questions, objections or difficulties about priestly celibacy, as well as opinions they have heard expressed by Catholics and non-Catholics.

This volume contains the most common questions posed by seminarians. It is a useful resources both to those involved in discerning the canonical suitability of candidates for priestly ordination, and all who wish to discuss the topic honestly and objectively.
